One of the most distinctive voices in British danc

One of the most distinctive voices in British dance theatre @proteindance has been using a blend of original choreography, text, humour and music to entertain and provoke audiences since 1998.

Protein have just announced a new promenade experience for Summer called ‘En Route’ and will move through iconic spaces of Woolwich from the week commencing 26th of July.

Expect a mix of dance,
live music and storytelling from Protein’s dancers and musicians and local participation!

Richard Chappell Dance has announced a new season

Richard Chappell Dance has announced a new season of live performance, digital and participation work for 2021! ‘Poetry Film’ be released on the 12th of April via @youtube @swindondance Watch this space!

The film takes inspiration from the writings of modern-day druid Kristoffer Hughes. Focusing on how our connection to outdoor environments can improve our mental health, this work will see Chappell respond to Hughes’ writings through poetry and choreography, reflecting on his own experiences with anxiety over the last year. Filmed by Dan Martin the work will show a balance between vulnerability, personal strength and empowerment, while exploring the similarity between expression through movement and poetry.#dance #dancefilm #nature #mentalhealth #poetry #movement #artandculturematters
